Cementing Plugs

Industrial Rubber's Aluminum Cementing Plugs are
engineered for strength and dependability down a Big Hole.

These Plugs permit the use of   conventional cementing methods with 16, 18 5/8, and 20-Inch Casings Plugs feature three self-centering cups and wiping elements bolted to an all-aluminum core. The one-piece cup and wiper elements are of resilient 70 durometer natural rubber.

Differential pressure across the plug forces both wipers and cups firmly against the casing wall to assure a good wiping job all the way to the bottom of the hole.

The all-aluminum core eliminates distortion from pressure in a deep hole and gives solid support to a long column of cement slurry or drilling fluid. The bottom cup design provides a positive shut-off when it seats on the float. Plugs are PDC drillable.

The strength of these plugs eliminates the damage often caused
to large wooden plugs by rough handling.

Cut-Away Example of a Bottom Aluminum Plug

In the bottom plug, all rubber cups and the top plate have a center hole 3 1/2 inches in diameter, and a solid rubber diaphragm across the top-most cup will rupture when sufficient pressure is applied. In the top plug all rubber cups and the top plate are solid.
