Automatic Fill-Up Float Shoe

Industrial Rubber's Automatic Fill-Up Float Shoe is constructed of a flapper-type valve fitted with an aluminum pump-out orifice held in place by shear pins.

The pump-out orifice holds the flapper valve open and regulates the flow of fluids into the casing. The pump-out orifice is designed to accept a tripping ball which is furnished with the tool.

The tripping ball may be pumped to the orifice or allowed to gravitate. When the ball is seated, a pump pressure of 300 psi will shear the pins holding the orifice, the orifice and ball will fall down-hole and the flapper valve will be released.

This converts the tool to a flapper-type float shoe.

Automatic Fill-Up Float Collar

Industrial Rubber's Automatic Fill-Up Float Collar employs the same flapper valve and pump-out orifice assembly as the Automatic Fill-Up Float Shoe.

The collar has female upper threads and male lower threads for convenience in making up. This collar is usually run one joint above the guide shoe.

It is important to use an Industrial Rubber Guide Shoe below this tool because the shoe is designed to provide fluid passage around the orifice after it is pumped out of the float collar.

The Same Flapper valve and pump-out orifice assembly as used in Industrial Rubber's Automatic Fill-Up Equipment is also Available as insert equipment.

This insert unit is supplied with a tripping ball which seats on the pump-out orifice. A pressure of 300 psi shears the pin holding the orifice, tripping ball and orifice fall downhole and the unit becomes operational as a flapper-type valve.
